We investigate the ancient arms race between "selfish genes" and eukaryotes.
Our goal is to gain novel mechanistic insights into diverse gene regulatory
processes and uncover principles of transposon-host co-evolution by studying
the genetics, genomics and biochemistry of small RNA-guided transposon silencing
systems in the animal germline.
