More than 50% of the mammalian genome is composed of transposons, repeats, and non-coding sequences that are highly expressed during early development. Yet, the regulatory role of their RNAs remains elusive. Our team aims to understand what functions these transcripts play in regulating gene expression and 3D genome organization post fertilization.
