Javier Martinez
My Laboratory studies RNA processing in mammalian cells with links to metabolism, cellular homeostasis and disease. Within RNA@core we will deal with the biochemistry and biology of enzymes that modify RNA termini. We will dissect the function of the subunits that compose the tRNA ligase complex and the dynamics – synthesis and degradation – of 2’, 3’ cyclic phosphates. We embrace curiosity, expertise, intuition and networking, and good doses of serendipity.
